My Favourite Teacher Essay - 500 Words
Every student has a teacher in his/her life who leaves a
special mark on their heart. For me, that teacher is [Rakesh Gupta] I have studied under many good
teachers in school but when it comes to inspiration, motivation and guidance in
life, for me, that teacher is my favourite teacher.
My First Memory of Him/Her
I still remember when he came to our classroom for the first
time. His appearance was simple but his personality was very strong. His smile
was warm and there was confidence in his voice which connected us instantly.
Many teachers just come to the class, teach and go away but he was different.
His class was always different. I used to feel lively and then I felt “Yes this
teacher is special”
His Unique Way of Teaching
His teaching style makes him different from all others. He
doesn’t just tell us to study by reading textbooks or to memorize them, rather
he explains every concept with real-life examples, funny stories and creative
ideas.
Like while studying maths, he never makes us explain the
formulas in a hurry. He explains every step slowly and makes sure that even the
weak students understand. He always says “If you cannot explain something,
simply you don’t understand it well enough” This line used to inspire me to
study not for exams but for real learning.
Because of his teaching style, I started liking the same
subjects which I had studied earlier. Science and maths used to seem difficult
but instead of boring theory they became practical and interesting.
His Qualities as a Person
Not just knowledge but his personality also makes him
special. He is patient, humble and kind. If a student makes a mistake, he does
not insult him but gently guides and explains where the mistake was made.
He is also disciplined. He wants us to be punctual, honest
and respectful. But his discipline is not scary but motivates. He treats
everyone equally – whether a topper or an average student. He pays extra
attention to weak students. He always says “Every student has a hidden talent.
A teacher’s job is to help them discover it.” These qualities make him not just
a teacher but a mentor.
Life Lessons Beyond the Classroom
The biggest thing I like about him is that his lessons are
not limited to books only. He also teaches us values, life skills and
character. He often shares his life experiences and shows that life can be
changed with hard work, honesty and determination.
Once I was very nervous before the exam. I went to him for
advice. Instead of giving notes, he said just one line, “Don’t study to defeat
others. Study to improve yourself.” From that day onwards, I changed my
attitude. I stopped comparing myself with others and started focusing on my own
improvement.
His Relationship with Students
Another reason that makes him my favourite teacher is his relationship with students. He is friendly and approachable. If we have any personal problem, we can easily talk to him. He listens patiently and gives helpful advice. Sometimes he motivates us with a small joke or light conversation. Because of him the class atmosphere always remains warm and positive. That is why students are never afraid of him, rather they respect and love him from the heart.
His presence makes us feel safe, encouraged and valued.
My Inspiration. I feel that he is not just a teacher but a life inspiration.
The way he balances knowledge, kindness and discipline is something I also want
to follow in my life. Whether I become a teacher in future or go into some
other profession, his patience, dedication and positivity are always with me. I
will remember
He once said “Education is not about filling your head with
facts it’s about shaping your character” This sentence will always be with me
in my life
Conclusion
Many people come and go in the journey of life but only a
few leave a permanent impact My favourite teacher is one of those rare people
